Overhaul and modernization

Whether it’s a lathe, a milling machine, or complex machinery, in the “Mechanical Engineering” division of WMW AG, we overhaul and modernize used machines. Through the measures we implement, we can significantly extend the service life of machines and boost their performance.

Overhaul: Extend the service life of your machine

During the overhaul, your machine is disassembled, cleaned, worn parts are replaced, and the mechanical components are repaired. The technical specifications of your machine are maintained. After an overhaul by us, your machine is almost like new, and its performance is virtually the same as on the first day.

We perform the following mechanical and geometric refurbishments:

• Replacement or grinding of guides,
• Replacement or grinding of spindles and rollers, and
• Replacement of wear parts, such as bearings, hydraulic, and pneumatic components

Retrofit / modernization: Boost your machine's performance

Would you like to increase the productivity or energy efficiency of your machine? We are happy to assist you with the modernization of your machines. Together with you, we will coordinate your goals and the specific modernization measures. Based on this, we will carry out a customized retrofit on your machine.

The following upgrades are performed as part of the modernization:

• Replacement of electrical and control components,
• Upgrade to the latest CNC technology,
• Conversion of hydraulic/pneumatic and lubrication systems,
• Modification or retrofitting of safety equipment, including protective enclosures, and
• Issuance of an EC Declaration of Conformity

Through innovative modernization measures and in compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, your machine can be declared as new.
