We designed, manufactured, and commissioned the feed guard!

The front feed guard is movable in two axes (as requested by the customer).

    1. Cleaning of the entire machine (removal of chips, oils, and greases)

  3. Disassembly in preparation for grinding
    1. Disassembly of the tailstock gear
    2. Disassembly of drive motors and machine cabling on the support
  4. Grinding by a subcontractor
    1. Milling out the old linings on the X and Z axes
    2. Grinding of the X- and Z-axis guideways,
    3. Replacement of 2 "hard strips" on the machine bed
    4. Restoration of geometry by grinding the wedge strips, undercuts, and linings
  5. Replacement of motor base
  6. Manufacturing of the front and rear feed protection

    2. Manufacturing and adjustment
    3. Preparation of documentation

  9. Tailstock
    1. Ultrasonic crack testing performed on the tailstock
    2. Surfaces on the tailstock milled to prepare for reinforcement brackets
    3. Manufacturing of a reinforcement bracket
    4. Replacement of the multi-disc clutch on the feed gear
  10. Retrofitted footrest
    1. Support feet adjusted to the support
  11. Retrofitting of safety device
    1. Installation of interlocks and sensors
    2. Retrofit of standstill monitoring/Pilz PNOZ
  12. Adjustments, maintenance, and functional test
    1. Lubrication points lubricated according to maintenance schedule
    2. Functional test of the spindle and feed axes
  13. Installation and geometric alignment at the customer’s site
    1. Machine mounted and aligned on existing foundation after transport
    2. Control cabinet mounted on existing foundation and wiring connected to the machine
    3. Initial inspection performed and documented in accordance with DGUV V3
    4. Initial inspection carried out and documented in accordance with §14 BetrSichV
    5. Geometric measurement performed and documented; adjustments made
  14. Adjustments, maintenance, and functional test
    1. Lubrication checked
    2. Functional test of the spindle and feed axes
